At Church of the Valley, we don’t see kids ministry as childcare, we see it as a chance to lay the foundation for lifelong faith. Whether your child is just learning to walk or asking big questions about God, Valley Kids is a place where they can learn to know Jesus as their Savior, to grow in their relationship with Him, and go share that with their friends and family.
When & where
Sundays at 8:30am, 10:00am & 11:30am
Drop off is quick, secure, and staffed by screened, background-checked volunteers who care deeply about your child’s safety and experience.
Making Sundays Smoother for Families
We get it — getting out the door with kids on a Sunday morning is basically an Olympic event. That’s why we’ve made it just a bit easier. From the moment you arrive, you’ll have real humans ready to guide you (and probably swap parenting stories too). We want you to feel confident walking into church — not rushed, flustered, or wondering where to go.

Julie McConnell
Julie leads Valley Kids with warmth, wisdom, and a huge heart for families. She’s a steady presence for little ones and a trusted guide for parents. If you have questions, Julie would love to connect with you!

Questions for Parents
Absolutely. You’re welcome to keep your infant or toddler with you during the service, or check them into our loving, age-appropriate nursery care upstairs. Whatever works best for your family.
Totally normal — and you’re not alone. Our team is trained to help ease transitions with patience and care. We’ll never force anything. You’re welcome to stay nearby, do a slow drop-off, peek in as needed, or bring your kiddo into the gathering with you and try again next week.
We want every child (and parent) to love Valley Kids as much as we do, so we’ll never pressure anyone into sticking around or taking a step they don’t feel ready for.
All Valley Kids volunteers are background-checked, trained, and follow secure check-in/check-out procedures. We’re committed to providing a physically and emotionally safe environment for every child, including having a trained security team member stationed outside the kids area during services.
If your child needs you during the service, we’ll discreetly notify you. For children in the nursery, we use a pager system provided at check-in. For PreK through 5th grade, we’ll send you a text message using the contact information you provide at check-in.

Whatever they’re comfortable in! Valley Kids includes play, crafts, worship, and movement, so casual, comfy clothes are perfect. No special dress code here.
