Giving is a matter of the heart.
Giving should be a demonstration of joyful worship and faithful obedience. Every believer is called to grow in giving.
‟But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.“
We worship God First.
Whatever we have, our primary consideration is honoring the LORD with our first and best.
“Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine.”

God SO LOVED the World that he GAVE Jesus. Our giving flows from our love for God and helps others in need.
‟If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person? Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.“

At Church of the Valley, we believe that giving is a matter of the heart. We believe that giving should be a demonstration of joyful worship and faithful obedience. Every believer is called to grow in this area of faith.

tithe is the spiritual basis
We believe that the tithe is the spiritual basis and starting point for financial giving. Malachi 3:10 is the biblical pattern we follow in bringing God’s offering into the local church.
Malachi 3:10 (NIV) ‟Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this”, says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”
God is the source and true owner
We believe in the scriptural teaching of stewardship. This is where we recognize that God is the source and true owner of all that we have. Therefore, giving is a matter of trusting God with what is His own.
1 Chronicles 29:14 (NIV) ‟But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.”

Luke 6:38 (ESV) ‟give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.“

But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. 7You must each decide in your heart how much to give.
